We're moving to Canada in 2 weeks, and we're trying to buy the stuff that we need for the new apartment while we're still here in the U.S. since things are significantly cheaper here, plus more variety as well compared to Canada. The 2 things that we absolutely need at this point is a sofa and a dining table set. Since the apartment is covered in laminate cherry wood, we're gonna need some rugs to keep our feet warm during the winter, and also to frame the dining and living area that are adjacent to each other. We're trying hard to stick to our budget of $1000 for the new stuff, but it's getting very difficult at this moment because things that are nice+comfortable do not come cheap.

Of all the things that I have selected, the only piece that is close to being confirmed is the sofa. The rest are still kinda being debated.

Update: We have bought the sofa...
I think we're going to modern with a touch of whimsy...
